Work was now abundant as he walked the runways of New York, Paris and Milan for such designers as Sonia Rykiel, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Gianfranco Ferre, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint-Laurent and Donna Karan.
Bergin graduated with a degree in business marketing. In the Fall, he returned to the University of Connecticut to finish his senior year. Bergin spent his summer working full time. After his junior year, the modeling assignments kept growing making the commute to New York more frequent. He was very muscular, and actually had to lose some of the bulk in order to fit into the designer clothing. He realized that the money earned would greatly ease his financial burden.īergin kept himself in exceptional shape. He signed on with the Clark Modeling Agency. Struggling financially, he finally considered the career move. She said that he could earn up to $1000 a day modeling in New York. During his sophomore year, a friend told him that he should seriously consider modeling. To support himself during his college years he worked as a waiter and at odd jobs for minimum wage. He attended the University of Connecticut.
